Vintage rolled gold art deco cobalt blue necklace c.1930s. Vibrant rolled gold glass necklace, with faceted round graduating blue beads. Rolled gold necklaces were popular from 1914 until the late 1940s. These necklaces were handmade, providing work for injured soldiers returning from the war. Rolled gold is a thin layer of gold on a base metal and fused together by heating.
